The 6th RehabMove Congress is organized by the Center for Human Movement Sciences and Center for Rehabilitation of the UMCG, together with the Faculty of Human Movement Sciences of the VU University in Amsterdam, Reade, Heliomare and the Wenckebach Instituut of the UMCG. The 6th edition is built on the strong and natural link between human movement sciences, rehabilitation and adapted sports. High-standard thematic keynotes and free presentations are combined with posters and a commercial exhibition in a concise area and sociable atmosphere in Groningen, the City of Talent! Theme The RehabMove Congress will provide the state of the art science in, among other things, biomechatronics, motor control and exercise physiology of impaired movement and the restoration there-of, as well as assistive technology, healthy & adapted physical activity, Paralympic and adapted sports research. Internationally renowned experts will present their views on the current understanding-, and future of research and practice regarding these important themes. Keynote speakers John Buckley, Andreas Daffertshofer, Dario Farina, Mindy Levin, Kathleen Martin Ginis, Bert Mulder, Brett Smith, Walter Thompson and Esther Vergeer have confirmed their presence as keynote speakers during the 3-day RehabMove Congress. The Dean/member of the Board of Directors of the UMCG and Professor of Neuroscience, Marian Joëls PhD, will open the Congress on Wednesday, December 12.
